I retired to Tempe with husband Bill in September 2022 after living in Fredericksburg, VA for 43 years. I was born in Buffalo - Go Bills! - and grew up in Wilton, Connecticut. I went to St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY and moved to Virginia for Bill's job in 1980, the year we got married. Son John and daughter-in-law Clarke live in Phoenix. They had been married 5 years. No grandchildren - now we have 2 boys, Carlos and Willie, 2 and 1, a year and a day apart. I am happy to show you pictures! We also have a daughter Kelly, who lives in Brooklyn, NY.
I joined the Fredericksburg Junior Woman's Club in 1982. I was 27. When I reached 40 - I was "kicked out" - and joined what we called a General Club - the Fredericksburg Woman's Club. I have been a GFWC member for 43 years! I have served as President and as GFWC Virginia State Parliamentarian, my favorite part of contributing to any non-profit organization.

The beach - the Outer Banks of North Carolina - is my go to place - the ONLY thing wrong with AZ - no ocean! Last year was the first year I had not been in the Atlantic Ocean since I was 12. I have rented a beach house for Mother's Day and to celebrate turning 70 this summer.

I was thrilled to learn I could belong to more than one GFWC Club. I feel that Tempe Woman's Club is a great fit for me!
